PALLET CONFIGURATION & LOAD PLANNING

From cartons per layer to a practical pallet plan.

A pallet configuration calculator is a useful first step when the cartons are the same size. Pallet load planning becomes more involved when you mix sizes, change permitted orientations or need to respect stacking limits. Start with a simple geometric estimate, then review the requirements that the estimate cannot check.

Warehouse operator measuring cartons arranged on wooden pallets.
01

Compare both grid orientations

The free calculator checks cartons placed lengthwise and widthwise across the pallet. A 120 × 80 cm pallet and 40 × 30 cm cartons produce 6 cartons in one uniform grid and 8 in the other. Mixed-orientation patterns may produce different results.

02

Understand TI and HI

TI is the number of cartons per layer; HI is the number of layers. Multiply the two to estimate cartons per pallet. With 25 cm carton height and 100 cm of cargo height, the geometric example gives 4 full layers: 8 × 4 = 32 cartons.

03

Separate geometry from stackability

A carton that fits geometrically may not support the cartons above it. Check compression strength, pallet capacity, load stability and handling requirements. The calculator does not assess whether a particular load is safe to stack.

Does the pallet calculator find an optimal mixed pattern?+

It compares two uniform orientations for one carton size. It does not search mixed-size or interlocking patterns. For more complex cargo, contact our team about a trial.

Does maximum cargo height include the pallet?+

Enter the height available to the cartons only. If your limit includes the wooden pallet, subtract the pallet height before calculating.

FROM VOLUME TO A LOADING PLAN

Know the difference before you load.

A quick calculation answers one question. A loading workflow brings the other questions into view.

FAQ

A few things worth knowing.

How do I start the 7-day free trial?

Click the trial button to contact us on WhatsApp. Our team will help arrange access and confirm when your trial begins.

Can I use the calculators without signing up?

Yes. The free calculators run in your browser and do not require an account. They provide estimates, not a complete operational load plan.

Do you support containers, trucks and pallets?

These are the main planning use cases. Contact us with your cargo and requirements to confirm suitability during your trial.

Can I discuss integration with my existing system?

Yes. Share your requirements with our team on WhatsApp. Integration availability, scope and pricing are confirmed individually.
