01Prepare a representative cargo list
Record item IDs, external carton dimensions, quantities and weights. Flag fragile or non-stackable items and the permitted rotations. Your trial is more useful when it includes the cartons that make normal planning difficult.
02Choose the actual container
Use the internal dimensions and door opening confirmed by your carrier. A 40-foot high cube provides more height than a standard 40-foot container, but height is only useful when your cargo can use it. Templates are a starting point, not a guarantee about a particular unit.
03Review the plan before stuffing
Discuss the placement, handling access and loading order with the warehouse team. Confirm packaging tolerances, load capacity and cargo securing separately. A visual layout should support the operational review.
